Mara is absolutely underrated and if we ever get a spinoff it should be about Mara. Sure she had screen time in the show but we don’t know any more about her past than her being a first one who became She-Ra

What happened to this project?

I am currently binging the show for the 80th time, and I’m noticing that season 4 Catra was when she was at her worst. That’s when she turned everyone away and lost hope in Adora entirely. Seasons 1-3 got worse and worse. She pulled the portal lever and didn’t care that it was very possible she could die. She just wanted She Ra gone.

Here’s a question for you all that I’d like you to ponder. How did Catra end up on Horde Prime’s ship? And I mean REALLY think about this, because the transport beam was aimed at the Black Garnet room, NOT the forge, which is where we last see Catra before Horde Prime’s ship… So I ask again, HOW did Catra get aboard, amongst the same debris that was teleported with Glimmer and Hordak?

Mara to me is the epitome of brilliant writing. We only have 3 scenes and a monologue and yet she holds so much symbolism and defines the themes of the show. Her story is a tragedy done right and it's so heartbreaking while also giving the audience questions of morality and honor and heroism and life and remembrance. I love Mara and I love that the writers were able to take a children's show and make it just that good

Adora was always Shadow Weaver's favorite. She may have abused both her and Catra but she abused Catra more because to her she was nothing but a nuisance. The only reason she didn't kill her because Adora cares so much about her. Adora left the Horde because she saw what they were doing was wrong they were hurting innocent people and deep down Catra wanted to leave too but she was too scared of Shadow Weaver until she took her power away. Shadow Weaver only wanted Adora to her Catra was just a spare. Catra played the villain for a while trying to kill Adora, her friends, the Rebellion, and she tried to conquer Etheria. It was never what she really wanted but she'd rather act like a villain and look tough than admit what she really wanted
